Literature databases in CERs

When building the State of the Art section of a CER, authors often come to a point where they have to ask: ”how many databases are enough”?

A Clinical Evaluation needs to retrieve sufficient (all, if possible) clinical evidence to prove that a medical device achieves its intended purpose without exposing users and patients to unidentified risks. Therefore, a combination of data coming out of systemic and manual searches is almost always needed.
